The person who set up the account has left our organization. Can the Stripe account be transferred to another account holder?
A: Stripe accounts are set up per user and are transferrable, but only if the current account owner changes the details in the account. If they have left, then a new account will need to be created.
If the account holder has left, another Stripe account will need to be created listing the new account holder as the user and using the company details. Here is a guide to assist: Connecting To Stripe Express for Tournaments Once this is done, Customer Care can have the old account unlinked from the Serve Tennis account.

What you should do depends on whether the Company Representative:
- Wants to transfer ownership to another user: We’ll need to call the Company Representative to verify their personally identifiable information (PII) and get their authorisation to transfer ownership.
- Is not available: We will need a letter from a company signatory, which confirms and details the change of Company Representative and the transfer of ownership of the Stripe account. We strongly recommend that the person who holds the title of Company Representative is also the person who controls the Owner Administrator login for the Stripe account.
- The letter should be on your company's letterhead and authorise the appointment of the new Company Representative, as well as the transfer of ownership to a specified user. Please include the following information:
- Business name
- Business tax ID
- Business address
- Previous Company Representative’s name and date of birth if available
- New Company Representative’s name and date of birth
- New Owner Administrator’s email address that they'll use to log in to Stripe
- We ask that the signatory on this letter is not the same person who is being appointed as the new Company Representative. For example, if the CEO is being appointed as Company Representative, ask a board member or other member of the C-suite to sign and authorise the letter.
